Research Methods & Methodologies

The course consists of 4 modules.

Module 1: Introduction to Research Methods

Learning Objective: Understand the fundamentals of research design.

  • Identify and select appropriate research methods based on research questions and objectives.

Module 2: Quantitative Research Methods

  • Design and conduct surveys, experiments, and observational studies.
  • Perform statistical analyses using various statistical techniques.
  • Evaluate the validity and reliability of quantitative research findings.
  • Understand ethical considerations and data privacy issues in quantitative research.
  • Become proficient in using statistical software for data analysis and visualisation.

Module 3: Qualitative Research Methods

Learning Objective: Gain proficiency in qualitative research methods.
Learning Outcomes:
  • Design and conduct interviews, focus groups, and case studies.
  • Analyse qualitative data using thematic analysis, grounded theory, and other relevant techniques.
  • Assess the validity and reliability of qualitative research findings.
  • Understand ethical considerations in qualitative research.
  • Develop skills in using software tools for qualitative data analysis.

Module 4: Mixed Methods Research
