Communication Skills

The course consists of 2 modules.

Module 1: Public Speaking and Presentations

Learning Objective: To cultivate confidence and persuasion in oral presentations and present research findings in a clear, engaging, and accessible manner for diverse audiences.

Module 2: Academic Writing

Learning Objective: To refine written communication skills for clear, impactful, and persuasive expression in professional and academic contexts.

  • Produce well-structured, clear, concise, and persuasive documents by mastering relevant techniques.
  • Apply the principles of tone, style, and voice effectively in written communication.
  • Construct coherent arguments and organise content appropriately in various writing contexts.
  • Enhance the quality of written work through proofreading, editing, and peer-review techniques.
  • Tailor writing styles and content to suit different purposes, such as grant proposals, research publications, and professional correspondence.
  • Master the art of writing persuasive abstracts and executive summaries.
