Presentation of the project at the kick-off meeting of the MediCoRe Mediterranean Network
The team of the Industrial PhD in Computer and Telecommunications Sciences participated in the kick-off meeting of the European MediCoRe Network, where they had the opportunity to present the new curriculum to representatives of Universities from all over the Mediterranean.
The purpose of the network is to establish a major partnership between the Universities of the Mediterranean and the Polytechnic University of Bari (DICATECh-Poliba), with the aim of creating an innovative network called “Resilience of Mediterranean Communities Hub (MediCoRe)”, in which the DICATECh-Poliba will assume the role of the Head Institution and become a destination for students who wish to study abroad and undertake their research and educational activities, in different scientific fields.
The long-term vision of the network is to work for the future students and researchers of the Mediterranean, leading a wider process of progressive and continuous development of the socio-economic and environmental consciousness of Mediterranean decision-makers, enabling them to better manage the territory and the economy, orienting them in strategic choices of smart and sustainable development in an ecological vision that has as a fundamental point of reference the example of the circular management of Mediterranean resources.
The event was attended by faculty members from various Mediterranean countries, and the University of Ioannina team had the opportunity to present the new Industrial PhD to them, get in touch with them and explore further possibilities of collaborations within the program.
