Assistant Professor Vasiliki Liagkou, from the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications at the University of Ioannina, participated as a speaker in the informative event titled “International – Foreign language PhD Programs at the University of Ioannina”, held on Monday, October 21, 2024. The event was part of the University’s internationalization initiatives and took place in the context of its 60th anniversary celebrations. In her talk, “Industrial Doctorate 2024–2025: Innovation and Connection with the Labor Market – New Opportunities for PhD Candidates”, Dr. Liagkou highlighted the importance of industrial PhD programs in fostering innovation and strengthening the link between academic research and market needs. She presented emerging opportunities for prospective PhD students in the fields of Informatics and Telecommunications.
